The servant's daughter, Kaoru, was kidnapped by being mistaken for Asakura's daughter, Izumi. Kaoru is killed because Izumi's father, Yosuke, is reluctant to pay the ransom, and his mother, Yuriko, holds a grudge against Yosuke and Izumi. A
